California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

This California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) applies to California residents and supplements GoAccel’s Privacy Policy. It describes how GoAccel (“GoAccel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses Personal Information and explains rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

1) Scope

This Notice covers Personal Information we collect about California residents when they:

  • Visit our websites
  • Create an account or use our Services
  • Communicate with us (sales, support, or otherwise)

This Notice does not apply to information excluded from the CCPA/CPRA (for example, certain information governed by federal laws).

2) Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the last 12 months, we may have collected the following categories (as defined by California law):

  1. Identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address, account IDs)
  2. Customer records information (company, job title, billing/contact details)
  3. Commercial information (subscription plan, transactions, payment status; payment card data is handled by payment processors)
  4. Internet or network activity (pages visited, features used, logs, device data)
  5. Geolocation data (general location derived from IP address)
  6. Audio/electronic information (support communications, recordings where permitted)
  7. Professional/employment information (role, company info you provide)
  8. Inferences (preferences or interest signals derived from usage)

Sensitive Personal Information (SPI): We do not intentionally collect SPI such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, or health data through normal use of our Services. If a customer uploads such data into the platform, it is treated as Customer Data and processed to provide the Services.

3) Sources of Personal Information

We collect Personal Information from:

  • You (forms, account creation, support requests, uploads)
  • Automatically through cookies/logs and similar tools
  • Third parties you connect (integrations) or service providers (e.g., analytics, hosting, payments)
  • Data providers/enrichment sources if you enable those features

4) Why We Collect and Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Services
  • Create/manage accounts and authenticate users
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Provide support and communicate with you
  • Improve product performance, features, and usability
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Market our Services (where permitted by law)

5) How We Disclose Personal Information

In the last 12 months, we may have disclosed categories of Personal Information to:

  • Service providers / contractors (hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing, communications tools)
  • Integration partners (at your direction when you connect third-party services)
  • Legal/compliance recipients when required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • Business transferees in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or financing

We disclose information for business purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy and this Notice.

6) “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information (Targeted Advertising)

California law defines “sale” and “share” broadly. Depending on how our cookies/analytics/advertising tools are configured, some data disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising could be considered “sharing” (and in limited cases “selling”) under the CCPA/CPRA.

If we engage in sharing for targeted advertising, you have the right to opt out (see Section 9). If we do not operate targeted advertising, you can still use the rights process below and we’ll honor applicable requests.

7) Data Retention

We keep Personal Information only as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • Providing the Services
  • Security and fraud prevention
  • Compliance and legal obligations
  • Dispute resolution and contract enforcement

Retention varies by data type and purpose.

8) Your California Privacy Rights

Subject to certain exceptions, California residents may have the right to:

  • Know / Access: request the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we collected, used, and disclosed
  • Delete: request deletion of Personal Information (with exceptions)
  • Correct: request correction of inaccurate Personal Information
  • Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: opt out of the sale or sharing of Personal Information for targeted advertising
  • Limit SPI Use: limit the use/disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information (where applicable)
  • Non-Discrimination: not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising rights

Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing

You may request to opt out by contacting us using the details above. If we offer website controls (like a cookie banner or “Do Not Sell or Share” link), you may also use those controls where available.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and may also require you to verify your identity directly.

Verification

To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. The verification method depends on the request and the sensitivity of the data involved.

10) Minors

We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers under 16 years of age.

11) Changes to This Notice

We may update this Notice from time to time. The Effective Date reflects the latest version.
